Meeting once a month, the digital photography group has joined together to share a vast array of different interests and levels of expertise.

WorkshopNo matter whether you have just taken charge of your first digital camera or have been using one for years, there is something for you to enhance your hobby.

We have twenty members in the group with interests as varied as ornithology, landscapes, still life, portraiture, graphic design plus those interested in improving the quality of their family and holiday shots.

To date we have had a masterclass on how to enhance that dubious picture, a video on taking portraits plus discussion groups on scenic work and problem solving.

We have also introduced homework for those who wish to put into practice what they have learned. For the beginner there are Q & A sessions plus mentoring, we all have something to share.

Our informal meetings are held in members’ homes, ensuring a light-hearted atmosphere.

Future meetings:

The next meeting of the Digital Photography Group has been arranged for 2 pm Friday 10th February, at Harbour Cottage, Garlieston. We will discuss progress on our photographs for display at the AGM. It is hoped to have a workshop session mounting our exhibits. Time permitting, we will include a Photoshop session, so please bring your laptops if you have one.

A further meeting has been arranged for 2 pm Monday 12th March, at Harbour Cottage, Garlieston, when we will discuss portraiture, watch a video and have a go ourselves. Please bring your camera, tripod and reflector if you have one.
