I am the eye with which the Universe beholds
Itself and knows Itself divine.
The Metaphysics Group currently consists of 8 members who meet at 2.00 pm on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 4 Maxwell Drive, Newton Stewart.

We
are a group with little or no special scholarship regarding the
subject. Our meetings are social events for interaction amongst
like-minded people with the aim of facilitating in-depth and
open-ended discussions of what are sometimes dense and abstruse
subjects. Our aim is to engender a better understanding of Modern
Metaphysics. Discussions are usually informal, unstructured,
open-ended and good
fun!
Our range of topics is unlimited. In the past year, we have discussed The Nature of Pain, The Nature of Thought, The Nature of Ourselves and Our Relation to The Cosmos. At present, we do not plan to nominate topics in advance for forthcoming sessions but would be happy to take on board any member's wishes.

We occasionally have external activities that are pertinent to
our
interests, such as interactions with Inter-Faith groups, the local Blind
Bats Visionary group, and places of association such as the Gardens of
Cosmic Speculation by Charles Jencks at Portrack House just outside
Dumfries, which are open to the public only once a year.
As some vacancies have arisen, we are open to new members who might be interested in metaphysical debates and musings upon various topics concerning our humanity and life events. Sceptics welcome, cynics maybe not!
Please contact the facilitator for further details and for the date of the next meeting.
